The ageing metal pipework is now being replaced by new, more durable plastic pipes, to ensure a safe and reliable supply of gas to customers now while getting the network ready to transport alternative greener fuels in the future.

The work will start on Monday the 11th of September 2023 and will take approximately 26 weeks. We will be upgrading the Gas Network along Benton Park Road from the junction of Haddricks Mill Road to the Junction of Glaisdale Road and the adjoining junctions.

So that engineers can carry out the work safely and efficiently, and to protect the members of the public, some traffic management measures will be put in place.

The temporary traffic management will be multi-way lights used at certain locations at various times to make our connections. These will be managed adequately to keep the flow of traffic running as smoothly as possible.

The ageing metal pipework is now being replaced by new, more durable, plastic pipes to ensure a safe and reliable supply of gas to customers now, while getting the network ready for the future.

The work on Yarm Road at the junction of Hundens Lane will start on Tuesday 29th August and is expected to last five days.

So that engineers can carry out the work safely and efficiently, and to protect the public, some traffic management measures will be put in place.

As of the 29th August we will have temporary multiway lights on Yarm Road at the junction of Hundens Lane for approximately five days. Please allow extra time for your journey.

The ageing metal pipework is now being replaced by new, more durable, plastic pipes to ensure a safe and reliable supply of gas to customers now, while getting the network ready for the future.

The work on Green Lane will start on the 22nd of August and is expected to last for two weeks. It has been planned in collaboration with Middlesbrough Council.

So that engineers can carry out the work safely and efficiently, and to protect the public, some traffic management measures will be put in place.

As of the 22nd  of August, there will be multiway lights on Green Lane at the junction of Roman Road. In addition to this there will be a closure at the  junction of Thackeray Grove and Green Lane, there will be a fully signed diversion route in place.

Northern Gas Networks (NGN), the gas distributor for the North of England, is carrying out essential work to ensure the continued safe and reliable supply of gas to customers at Chat Hill, Bradford.

The ageing metal pipework is now being replaced by new, more durable plastic pipes, to ensure a safe and reliable supply of gas to customers now while getting the network ready to transport alternative greener fuels in the future.

The work has been planned in collaboration with Bradford Council and has been carried out under a road closure on Chat Hill Road since July 24th.

Due to the depth of the main and the complexity of the engineering involved, and in order to protect engineers and the public, the road closure will now need to remain in place until August 30th.

In addition to the NGN gas mains replacement project, Yorkshire Water will also be carrying out work under the same road closure during this time.

Businesses will remain open as usual, and a full signed diversion is in place for motorists.

The work on Seaton Lane will start on 18th August 2023 and is expected to last for eleven weeks. It has been planned in collaboration with Hartlepool Borough Council.

So that engineers can carry out the work safely and efficiently, and to protect the public, some traffic management measures will be put in place.

As of the 18th of August we will have temporary rolling multiway lights on Seaton Lane from the railway bridge to the roundabout at The Owton Lodge.

The ageing metal pipework is now being replaced by new, more durable plastic pipes, to ensure a safe and reliable supply of gas to customers now while getting the network ready to transport alternative greener fuels in the future.

So that engineers can carry out the work safely and efficiently, and to protect the public, some traffic management measures will be put in place during the works.

Due to the nature of the work a 1-way system will be introduced on Market Place for a 4-week duration. Once this section is complete a road closure will be necessary on Front Street from St Martins Church to the junction of Gelt Road/Front Street.  Signs will be displayed for motorists and a full signed diversion put in place.

While the majority of the work will be carried out in the street, engineers will need to access customer properties and businesses to complete the project and ensure the continued safe and reliable supply of gas.

The ageing main has undergone several recent emergency repairs, so has now been prioritised for urgent replacement. The ageing metal pipework is being replaced by new, more durable plastic pipes, to ensure a safe and reliable supply of gas to customers now, while getting the network ready to transport alternative greener fuels in the future.

The work will commence on the 21st of August and is expected to last for approximately ten weeks. It has been planned in collaboration with Bradford Council.

So that engineers can carry out the work safely and efficiently, and to protect the public, some traffic management measures will be put in place.

We will commence work on Main Street by the A65 roundabout working towards West Terrace/ Station Road. We will be working under 2-way and 3-Way temporary traffic lights for the duration of the project.

To minimise the impact on traffic, traffic management will be manned at peak hours (7am- 7pm) to assist with the flow of traffic when working under temporary traffic lights.

Vehicle management signs will be in place, providing motorists with advanced notification.

While the majority of the work will be carried out in the street, engineers will need to access customer properties to complete the project and ensure the continued safe and reliable supply of gas.

There will be a road closure in place from the Brown Cow pub to Altar Lane for the full duration of the project.

We have been working with bus operators to provide a shuttle bus service to take customers around the road closure and we can confirm that a service will be in place from the 14th of August.

To minimise the impact on traffic, traffic management will be in place at peak hours (7am- 7pm) to assist with the flow of traffic when working under temporary traffic lights.

Advanced warning signs are in place, providing motorists with advanced notification. Signs will be displayed for motorists and a full signed diversion put in place.

The work will start on Monday 7th August and is expected to take approximately 24 weeks to complete. It has been planned in collaboration with Wakefield Council.

So that engineers can carry out the work safely and efficiently, and to protect the members of the public, some traffic management measures will be put in place.

From Monday 14th August the lane closure on Park Road will extend for approximately three weeks. This will be in place from the junction of park lane.

It may be required to close 1 lane in the opposite direction from the junction of Beechnut Lane going into Pontefract for two weeks for the remainder of the school holidays.

Advance warning signs will be displayed prior to works starting.

We have planned works on the A66, this is due to start on 7th August 2023 and is expected to last three weeks. This has been planned in collaboration with Middlesbrough Borough Council, and summer holidays due to the reduction in traffic at this time of year.

So that engineers can carry out the work safely and efficiently, and to protect the public, there will be traffic management measures in place.

As of 7th August we will need to install temporary lane closures on the A66 eastbound and westbound between the junctions of Whitworth Road and Eston Road. This will be in place for the full duration of our work.
