The ageing metal pipework is being upgraded to ensure a safe and reliable supply of gas to customers now while getting the network ready to transport alternative greener fuels in the future.

Our 18-week project has been carefully co-ordinated with East Riding of Yorkshire Council will begin Monday the 24th of June and is expected to be completed by the 28th of October 2024.

Weeks 1-5 Road closure Ashton Road between the Kington Road junction to Hazelbarrow Drive.

Weeks 5-9 Multiway lights, Wolferton Road and Forty Steps.

Week 12 Road closure, Wolferton Drive at the Springfield Way junction.

Weeks 14-16 Multiway lights, Pryme Street, Wolferton Drive and Wilson Street.

Chris Keith, Operations Manager for Northern Gas Networks, said: “We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused during these essential works. However, it is vital we complete them in order to continue to maintain a safe and reliable gas supply to the residents of Anlaby.

“We want to assure residents and road users that we will be working hard to complete this essential scheme as safely and as quickly as possible.”
