Northern Gas Networks (NGN), the gas Northern Gas Networks (NGN), the gas distributor for the North of England, is carrying out essential work to ensure the continued safe and reliable supply of gas to customers in Stocksfield.

A gas leak has been detected along Station Bank, Mickley Square, Stocksfield and as a result we have imposed a road closure to allow our teams space to investigate. As it stands now, we do not have an expected end date for the repair.

A diversion is route is available for as long as the closure remains active.

Andrew Coates, Site Manager for Northern Gas Networks, said: “We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused during these essential works. However, it is vital we complete them in order to continue to maintain a safe and reliable gas supply to the residents of Stocksfield and the wider network.”
