The North of England’s gas distributer, Northern Gas Networks (NGN), is investing £475,000 to upgrade to the gas distribution network in Wincolmlee area of Hull.
The project will begin on the Monday the 4th of February and is planned to finish on the 22nd of April. The works are part of NGN’s ongoing development of infrastructure in the area and involves replacing 440m of existing metal gas mains with more durable plastic pipes, to ensure the continued safe and reliable supply of gas to customers for years to come.
The complete the works safely the following road closure will be in place; from the junction of Station Drive cycle track to junction of Fountain Road. This will remain in place for the full duration of the works. A full signed diversion will be in place for motorists, please allow for extra travel time.
All works have been planned in conjunction with Hull City Council. Dave Johnson, Site Manager said “We would like to thank all our customers for their patience whilst we complete these essential works. We are sorry for the inconvenience the works will cause’’.
