Next Thursday (1 March), the north of England’s gas distributor, Northern Gas Networks (NGN), is inviting local people to Yeadon Methodist Church, Chapel Hill, LS19 7RG from 4.30pm to 6.30pm to discuss the proposed upgrade to the gas distribution network on High Street, Yeadon.
The project is part of NGN’s ongoing investment in the gas infrastructure in the area and involves replacing existing metal gas pipes with more durable plastic ones. This will ensure the continued, safe and reliable supply of gas to customers in the area for years to come.
NGN is inviting local people to share their thoughts on the project which is scheduled to take place later this year. It is expected to last approximately 10 weeks but may cause some delays and NGN is engaging with locals to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum.
Josh Hampshire, Construction Manager at Northern Gas Networks, said: “As with all projects, we work closely with the local authority to ensure as little disruption as possible. We urge any local people to come to Yeadon Methodist Church on Thursday 1 March between 4.30pm and 6.30pm to share their thoughts so we can plan the project accordingly.”
For further information about the project please contact NGN’s Customer Care Team on 0800 040 7766 or email: customercare@northerngas.co.uk.
