Northern Gas Networks (NGN), the gas distributor for the North of England, is to carry out work close to the Birkshall gas site which formerly housed three large gas holders.
The work, which will see a pipe diverted along Planetrees Road and Peace Street, is expected to last for around four months and has been planned in collaboration with Bradford Council. So that engineers can carry out the work safely and efficiently, and to protect the public, some traffic management measures will be put in place.
From Tuesday 6 May, there will be a road closure on Planetrees Road. Temporary traffic lights will also be in place at the junction of Planetrees Road and Peace Street. Both of these measures will be in place for the duration of the work. A signed diversion will be in place for motorists, and access will be maintained where possible.
Chris Green, Business Operations Lead at Northern Gas Networks, said: “We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused during these works.”
This work is in preparation for the site being developed to include a low carbon hydrogen production facility. For more information visit https://bradfordhydrogen.com/
